French Bulldog Rescue Network Fundraiser

Impress your valentine. Help a Frenchie.

Which is sweeter, Valentine’s Day candy or a Frenchie? That’s a hard question for some of us! But FBRN has the answer. Between now and January 27, you can make sure your sweetheart’s Valentine’s Day is a special day and help some of the sweetest dogs on the planet through the French Bulldog Rescue Network’s / See’s Candy fundraiser.

If you live on the west coast, you probably already know how delicious See’s Candy is. If you’re not familiar with See’s, now is the time to discover the chocolate candy that folks have been enjoying since 1921.

A percentage of each order’s profits will be generously donated to FBRN. So order yours today before the January 27th deadline.

And be assured that you’re helping a group of dedicated Frenchie lovers determined to give every single rescued dog the best life it can have…

Sometimes Things Change…

Sometimes, despite an owner’s best intentions, circumstances change and they are not able to adequately care for their animals. That’s where the French Bulldog Rescue Network comes in. FBRN has the organization and infrastructure to get these dogs into a better situation. Like Marvin. He’s now in a foster home where he’ll get the love and attention and playtime he deserves.

Saddled Up and Ready to Ride

I volunteer with the French Bulldog Rescue Network transporting Frenchies from one city to another. It’s usually done relay-style from volunteer to volunteer.

Yesterday, Sunday, I picked up Codi in north Fort Worth and we headed south on U.S. 287. It was a beautiful, sunny drive through the Texas countryside.

Before I knew it, I had arrived at my transfer destination. The next volunteer was waiting. We exchanged greetings and Codi’s crate, toys, food, and blankets.

And then he was off to a new life.

I’ve done this a dozen or more times and, were I able, would have taken each one home with me.

French Bulldog Rescue Network

According to the American Kennel Club – @akcdoglovers – the French Bulldog is the 2nd most popular breed in the U.S.

What’s not to love about a Frenchie? They are perfect companion animals. They’re good natured, playful, curious, watchful… The list goes on and on.

For the longest time they were the dog world’s best-kept secret. Not anymore. Frenchies are everywhere. And with that popularity comes some negatives.

Being short-nosed dogs, Frenchies can have breathing issues, they are susceptible allergies, and they are more couch potatoes than play-outside-all-day dogs. Knowing this up-front makes it a lot more likely for a relationship with a Frenchie to be a good one.

And, after learning all this, if you still think that a French Bulldog is for you, consider adopting. The French Bulldog Rescue Network has many Frenchies that need homes right now. Be prepared to fill out some forms, answer some detailed questions, and generally prove that you know what you’re getting into.

Because life is better with a (adopted) French Bulldog.
